 Here are some tips to help you update your English ability from B1 to B2 level:


Read, read, read! Reading is essential for building vocabulary and improving comprehension. Aim for a variety of texts - books, news articles, magazines, etc. Pay attention to new words and expressions. Use a dictionary when needed. Listen to English audio and video. Podcasts, news broadcasts, tv shows and movies will expose you to natural speech, Focus on understanding without reading subtitles or transcripts first. Replay parts you don't understand.


Speak English out loud every day. Have conversations with a language partner or tutor. Practise commonly used phrases and describe events from your day. Repeat sentences from audio clips. This will strengthen your speaking fluency.


Write regularly in English. Keep a journal or write social media posts. When writing essays or longer pieces, focus on using complex sentences and transition words to link your ideas clearly. Proofread your writing to minimize grammar and vocabulary mistakes.


Study intermediate grammar such as passive voice, conditionals, reported speech, relative clauses. Learn nuances in word meanings.


Expand your vocabulary systematically. Use flashcards and quiz yourself.


Take an internationally recognized test like IELTS or TOEFL IBT to formally assess your updated English level every few months. Identify areas for continued improvement from your test results.
