 Electrical Repair Procedures


Before beginning work, first shut off the electrical current. After the problem is diagnosed, assemble the tools and parts needed for the repair. Before making the repair, the electrical wires must be grounded. Wires not attached to an object connected to the earth may conduct a current and cause problems. Sometimes, an Ohm meter is used to determine if there is too much resistance in the flow of the electrical current. If there is, new wires should be installed. When the repair is done, the electrical current should be turned back on to make sure everything works.
