One of your most important duties as a flight attendant is to explain safety procedures to passengers. First, point out the emergency exits on the plane. Get verbal confirmation that people sitting by the emergency exit doors can open them in case of an emergency. Change people's seats if those seated by the emergency exits do not want to sit there. Then explain the situations in which oxygen masks will fall. Explain how to use the mask. Finally, explain how to use the seat as a flotation device.
