Reducing Violent Crimes Among Youths

A local urban police force has positively impacted violent crime among youths by implementing a new program. Teams of police officers and probation officers work together to make sure that youth gang members and other offenders follow the terms of their probation.

The impact of the program was seen in a single night. Four officers—two police officers and two probation officers—arrived at the crime scene.
