Report Summary: Employee Training
While working for Old Time Sweet Company, 84 percent of employees received some kind of formal training and 96 percent received some kind of informal training. Old Time Sweet Company paid for all training referred to in this survey. During the six-month survey period from May to October, employees received an average of 30.4 hours of training, of which 10.1 hours were spent in formal training and 21.3 hours in informal training. In other words, 70 percent of the training took place through informal instruction.
Age: The youngest and oldest workers were less likely to have received formal training during the last 12 months than were workers ages 25 to 54. Workers 24 years of age or younger and workers 55 years of age or older received about half as many hours of total training as workers 25 to 54 years old.
Full- or part-time: Full-time workers (35 or more hours per week) were more likely to have received formal training in the last 12 months than were part-time workers (72 percent versus 56 percent). Similarly, during the May to October period, full-time workers received an average of 49 hours of training, compared to 13 hours for part-time workers. Full-time workers received about five times as much informal training (34 hours for full-time versus 8 hours for part-time workers) and three times as much formal training (15 hours versus 5 hours).
Earnings groups: Those in the bottom group of the earnings distribution were less likely to receive formal training and received fewer hours of formal training than higher earners. Sixty-two percent of those in the bottom group received formal training in the last 12 months compared with 84 percent of those in the top group. Low earners received 4 hours of formal training during the six-month survey period versus 23 hours for the top group.

Giải thích chi tiết cho câu hỏi số 9 và 10
Dưới đây là phần phân tích lý do chọn đáp án dựa trực tiếp vào nội dung báo cáo đào tạo được cung cấp trong văn bản:
Câu 9:
* Đáp án đúng: B. The company delays training younger, inexperienced workers until they are sure the employment arrangement is likely to last.
* Giải thích:
* Căn cứ từ văn bản: Đoạn về "Age" nêu rõ: "The youngest and oldest workers were less likely to have received formal training during the last 12 months than were workers ages 25 to 54. Workers 24 years of age or younger and workers 55 years of age or older received about half as many hours of total training as workers 25 to 54 years old."
* Phân tích logic: Lao động trẻ tuổi (dưới 24 tuổi) thường có xu hướng biến động nhân sự cao hơn (dễ nhảy việc hoặc thời vụ hơn) so với độ tuổi lao động chính (25–54 tuổi). Do đó, việc công ty đầu tư ít thời gian và giờ đào tạo hơn cho nhóm tuổi này phản ánh thực tế quản trị nhân sự thận trọng: chờ đến khi gắn bó ổn định rồi mới đầu tư nguồn lực đào tạo sâu hơn.
* Các phương án còn lại (A, C, D, E) đưa ra các phỏng đoán chủ quan, không được hỗ trợ bởi dữ liệu hoặc mang tính suy diễn sai lệch (ví dụ: công ty chi trả toàn bộ chi phí đào tạo nên các lựa chọn liên quan đến việc người lao động tự chi trả đều sai).
Câu 10:
* Đáp án đúng: H. Part-time employees may have less ability to take time for training because they work fewer hours and have outside commitments.
* Giải thích:
* Căn cứ từ văn bản: Dữ liệu cho thấy lao động bán thời gian (part-time) chỉ nhận trung bình 13 giờ đào tạo trong suốt 6 tháng, thấp hơn rất nhiều so với mức 49 giờ của lao động toàn thời gian (full-time).
* Phân tích logic: Nhân viên làm việc bán thời gian thường có quỹ thời gian giới hạn tại công ty và hay có các cam kết bên ngoài khác (như việc học tập, gia đình, hoặc làm công việc khác), dẫn đến việc họ có ít thời gian trống hơn để tham gia các chương trình đào tạo.
* Các phương án khác (như F, G, J, K) đều mang tính quy chụp tiêu cực hoặc không có cơ sở xác thực từ dữ liệu báo cáo (ví dụ: dữ liệu không đề cập việc họ không muốn học hay việc vị trí công việc không đòi
hỏi kỹ năng).
